THE ROLE
A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative, based at the NSG Automotive Limited site in Fulbourn.
The successful candidate will join a team helping handle and ship automotive glass across different sites throughout the UK.
Working hours are 42 hours per week, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8pm and 5am.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Ensuring all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner to the intended destination.
- Multi drop pattern of up to 15 drops per driving shift.
- Picking Customer orders and loading relevant vehicles in accordance with a delivery schedule.
- Quality Control - minor rectification work, where there are small defects you may be required to polish the glass.
- Undertake and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, clear, and free from hazard or obstruction.
- Perform stock takes as and when required.
- Always maintain a professional appearance in both presence and driving style.
- Ability to potentially work flexibly due to holidays/sickness.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Full driving license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
- Experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit)
- Good knowledge of the automotive industry and products
- FLT licence is advantageous
- Good attention to detail – will be required to put stock away and pick up stock from alpha numeric code.
- A good geographical understanding of customer service areas.
- Good understanding of the SOPs to be followed and adhered to
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- The ideal person is hands-on, shows initiative, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
